How to Clean the Pampered Chef Deluxe Cooking Blender
The best kitchen power tool from Pampered Chef is the Deluxe Cooking Blender . This is the most powerful blender I've ever owned and now a favorite kitchen tool because it is so easy to use and even easier to clean! I've been getting a lot of questions about how to clean and maintain the Deluxe Cooking Blender, so I wanted to provide some helpful tips to keep your blender in top shape.
The most important things to know about how to clean the Deluxe Cooking Blender are DO NOT submerge the pitcher in water and DO NOT wash it in the dishwasher. Unlike most blenders, you do not need to take this blender apart to wash it. It literally cleans itself. Watch this quick video tutorial on how to clean your Pampered Chef blender.
BASIC BLENDER CLEANING STEPS
To clean your Deluxe Cooking Blender, fill the pitcher with 3 cups of water and add 1-2 drops of dish washing liquid. Secure the lid and the vented lid cap. Turn the dial to select the heated wash setting. Press the wheel to start and that's it!
After the wash cycle completes, remove your pitcher from the base using the helper handle as the glass will be warm from the heated wash cycle. Rinse with water. CAUTION: Do not submerge the base of pitcher in water. This pitcher contains electrical components.
Visually inspect the inside of your blender pitcher and make sure that there is no scorching, and no food stuck in between the blades. If you see either, use the dual sided cleaning brush included with your blender purchase to hand clean the area around the blades. Rinse any food remnants out, taking care to not submerge the pitcher in water. Dry with a towel. Make sure to completely wash the lid and vented lid cap. Check to make sure that there is no food remaining around the seal. The seal may be removed for cleaning and reinstalled when dry. Lid, vented lid cap, lid gasket, tamper, and boil-over guard are dishwasher-safe on the top rack only. See the Use & Care instructions on my website.
Deluxe Cooking Blender FAQ
WHAT IF THE HEATED WASH CYCLE DIDN'T CLEAN ALL THE FOOD OFF?
The heated wash cycle does not always clean everything. If you're working with stubborn foods like cheese or dairy, use a kitchen sponge with dish soap to clean the inside sides of the pitcher. Depending on what you've just made in your blender, it's possible that it might need one more wash cycle. I like to do this when making things like peanut butter that can build up under the blades.
MY BLENDER IS BURNT OR SCORCHED. WHAT DO I DO?
First, don't panic! This is something that happens from time to time. Scorching can occur when you cook with high sugar or dairy based foods on the sauce, jam or puree settings. It can also occur after heated settings if you leave the food in the blender too long because it continues to cook.
First try adding a little water and dish soap to the bottom of your blender. Scrub the bottom and blades with the dual sided cleaning brush. If it still needs more cleaning, there are two easy ways to get rid of the rest of the residue.
HOW TO DEEP CLEAN YOUR PAMPERED CHEF DELUXE COOKING BLENDER
Method 1 - SALT AND OIL PASTE: Add 1 cup salt and ½ cup of oil to the blender pitcher. Lock the lid and set to custom blend setting. Blend on the lowest speed to break up the burnt on food.
Method 2 - KETCHUP: Add enough ketchup to the pitcher to cover the blades and bottom. Let sit overnight then use the dual sided cleaning brush to remove burnt food bits.
After you do either of those, you will want to run the heated wash cycle again. Your blender should be ready to go!
